Speech Starts Here!
Hallie is a pediatric speech language pathologist with 10+ years of experience working with children and adolescents within the school, private practice, and hospital settings. She provides play-based, family-centered therapy, focusing on teaching and empowering caregivers to support functional communication skills. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of communication difficulties including childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering and fluency disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, articulation and phonology disorders, social and pragmatic language disorders, and using Auditory Verbal Therapy to promote listening and spoken language with children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Hallie is dedicated and passionate about helping children grow and succeed in communication and social connections. Her highest priority is to serve children in a caring, warm, supportive, and effective environment. She believes in teamwork and collaboration, not only with her clients’ family, but with teachers, daycare workers, doctors and other therapists in order to help generalize skills and to provide continuity of services. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be present and active participants in speech therapy sessions, and Hallie will provide families with activities, strategies, and home exercise programs to promote carryover and generalization outside of the therapy room.
